Summary

A graphic designer with over 20 years experience as a print production manager in the financial service industry as well as experience in advertising and merchandising. Project manager on a variety of projects for Palafox Communications including a Novartis Pharmaceutical
promotional video Sept. 2000 to Dec. 2001 Project Manager and on site consultant at Wunderman Advertising agency.
  • Coordinated with printers and installers the national distribution, delivery and installation of Citibank merchandising materials. Also involved in the production and press approval of 6 color silkscreen signage

Jan. 2000 to Sept. 2000

As an on site production manager at AGA Catalog Marketing and Design I was involved with the project management, estimating and technical production of a wide range of printed material such as press kits, invitations, brochures and retail catalogs.1996 to Jan. 2000 Graphics Print Production Manager for this start-up Creative UBS Services Department. This full service internal department was responsible for design and production for print, multimedia and new media projects.
  • Developed quality controls and traffic procedures
  • Managed all internal and external billing and generated a monthly productivity report
  • Purchased primarily 2-10 color offset sheet fed printing, digital printing, engraving, binders, and silkscreen
  • Oversaw the development and implementation of departmental database
  • Supervised the development of departmental billing and job trafficking system

1984 to 1996

Assistant Vice President, Graphics Production Manager for Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette this internal full service, communications department within this investment banking firm and its parent The Equitable.
  • Developed all quality controls, forms, traffic procedures and filing systems
  • Managed a print production department of 3 people that required daily supervision of schedules and workflow
  • Purchased 2-16 color projects such as: annual reports, marketing campaigns, newsletters, mastheads and stationery. Predominately short run (5,000-20,000) sheet fed printing and limited 6 color web printing
  • Coordinated and maintained production schedules with internal and outside resources

Senior graphic artist at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (1980-1984) and Chemical Bank (1978-1980).

Digital Environment

Macintosh platform. Software includes QuarkExpress 7.3, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe InDesign CS3, Adobe Flash CS3, Adobe DreamWeaver CS3, and Microsoft Office 2004.

Education

1996-1998 participated in a number of personal growth seminars at Landmark Education. These programs were designed to improve interpersonal communications and leadership skills.

1969-1973 attended New York Phoenix School of Design, majored in advertising and photography.
